Experiencing all of the fun Easter festivities on the island has become a family tradition for many. How does bathing suits, towels and sunblock sound instead of digging through your holiday closet to find the bunnies, baskets, and pastel linens at home? We think it’s the perfect time for a family vacation while the weather has warmed up and spring break is here. Granted, we might be biased – check out all these fun activities and adventures waiting for you:

SPECIAL KIAWAH EASTER EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES:

EGGstavagant Easter Festival

Wednesday, March 28 and April 4 from 6pm to 8:30pm at Night Heron Park
Admission is complimentary. Crafts available for purchase.
Night Heron Park is turned into an Easter Wonderland with family activities, from jump castles and train rides to entertainment and crafts! Also enjoy southern lawn games, a photo booth, glow gear and dancing to many favorites for the entire family. Please bring chairs and blankets for seating. An event menu will be available at the Night Heron Grill for purchase. The Grill will have extended hours until 8:30pm.

Kiawah River “Egg”streme Family Kayaking Hunt

Wednesday, March 28 from 1pm to 3pm
Wednesday, April 4 from 4pm to 6pm (Currently full, but call to be placed on a waitlist)
$65 per adult. $45 per child (11 and under).

Kayaking the Kiawah River? If you have never experienced the beauty of the river and marsh by kayak, now is a great time. Kiawah Island’s Nature Program is offering a unique Easter experience by taking the egg hunt to the water! Take in the views while searching the marsh with a partner for eggs scattered throughout the area. Nets will be provided.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Footwear is required, flip flops and slides are not recommended. This event is exclusive for the 2 weeks of Easter and space is limited. Sunrise Yoga on the Beach

Easter Sunday, April 1 starting at 6:30am at Boardwalk 18
$20 per person.

Start your Easter Sunday with a relaxing view of the sun rising over the Atlantic while focusing on your soul and body. No yoga experience is needed for this slower paced vinyasa class designed to wake you up, increase strength and flexibility, and leave you ready to take on the day.

Easter Egg Hunt and Toss

Easter Sunday, April 1 starting at 10am at Night Heron Park
Admission is complimentary.

Kiawah’s annual Easter tradition! Bring the entire family to Night Heron Park and join the Easter Bunny for this years Easter Egg Hunt and Toss. The Easter Bunny will be available for photographs starting at 9:30am and the hunt begins promptly at 10:00am, when groups will first be divided by age.

Please bring your own basket for gathering your eggs! The Easter Egg toss will directly follow the Easter Egg Hunt. After the fun, everyone is welcome to recycle their plastic Easter eggs at the Nature Center. Recycle Rabbit will be displayed.

Spring Pool Party and H20 Egg Hunt

Easter Sunday, April 1 from 5pm to 6pm at Night Heron Park
Admission is complimentary.

Head over to the Night Heron Children’s pool to join in for a late afternoon Easter egg hunt, Kiawah style with a pool party! Search the pool for eggs and enjoy additional pool games. In previous years, there has been an opportunity to take photos with the Easter Bunny afterwards.

Please note, the Night Heron Pool is reserved exclusively for Kiawah Island Resort Guests and Governor’s Club Members.

Easter Sunday Sundaes with Rick Hubbard

Easter Sunday, April 1 from 6:30pm to 8pm at Night Heron Park
Admission is complimentary. Sundaes are $5 each.

Celebrate Easter at Night Heron Park with the fan favorite Rick Hubbard and the famous kazoo band. They will perform on the Night Heron Park Stage and Kiawah’s Recreation staff will be there to help build your own ice cream sundaes.

Please bring blankets and beach chairs for seating.

SPECIAL EASTER DINING:

Mingo Point Oyster Roast and BBQ

Thursday, March 29 and Monday, April 2 from 6pm to 9pm.
$49.95 per adult and $25.95 per child ages 5 to 12.

Bring family and friends for the first Oyster Roast and BBQ of the year at Mingo Point! If you have never been before, Mingo Point’s Oyster Roast’s are legendary! Offering an authentic Lowcountry experience with mouthwatering food and great views of the Kiawah River.

Join the festivities from 6PM to 9PM for oyster shucking, Southern BBQ specialties, live entertainment from from The Island Trio, wildlife showings, and a craft market featuring local artisans. Activities just for the kids include complimentary design-your-own beach bag station and hair braiding.

EASTER SUNDAY DINING ON ISLAND: 

This year enjoy early morning and late afternoon buffets galore from the Jasmine Porch, Grand Oaks Ballroom, The Ocean Course, and Tomasso! You will also find a few restaurants on island open for a la carte dinner.

Breakfast will be served from 6:30am to 10:15am and then the Buffet Brunch from 12pm to 8pm.

Enjoy food, drinks, music and visits with the Easter Bunny! The menu features chilled seafood, numerous chef attended cooking stations, and the debut of the Spring Pastry and Confectionery Presentation.
