Highlight: When are the Fireworks on Kiawah this Year? (July 2016)

The question we hear most often is “when are the fireworks?”. To answer your question, there are two firework shows on Kiawah Island each 4th of July. The first show will start promptly at 9:15pm at Night Heron Park. The second show will be on the beach promptly at 10pm. Want to be close? They are set off near The Sanctuary beach access.

Annual Patriotic Bike Parade at Night Heron Park

It’s time to grab your bikes, skates, and roller blades to participate in this year’s Annual Bike Parade! Head over to East Beach Village on Sea Forest Drive for bike decorating that will start at 5pm. The parade will begin promptly at 5:45pm after everyone has been decked out in patriotic gear from mini-flags, pinwheels, balloons and more!

The Kiawah Island Fire Department will lead the parade, followed by Uncle Sam and Betsy Ross. The route leads participants down Sea Forest Drive, from the East Beach Village, and finishes at Night Heron Park. Upon crossing the finish line, you’ll head straight into Night Heron Park for the festival!

Bike Parade Road Closures: On July 4, Sea Forest Drive will be closed to thru traffic at the Sea Forest Drive/East Beach Village intersection from 5:30pm until 6:30pm. In addition, residents and guests in Mariners Watch and Windswept villas will experience temporary road delays between 5:45pm – 6:16pm.
